Seek Sanctuary at Open House in Franklin

For Immediate Release

Franklin, MA (September 20, 2005) Sanctuary, which opened for business in Franklin this summer, will hold its grand opening celebration on Saturday, September 24, 2005, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM at its salon and day spa at 31 Hayward Street, off route 140 in Franklin.

Sanctuary represents a new approach to salons and day spas that blends together the sophisticated services offered by upscale salons with the personalization that was the hallmark of “beauty parlors” of the past.   Daniel Jasken and Youssef Addi, Sanctuary’s co-owners, developed the concept for Sanctuary by working closely with clients through all phases of planning, design and construction.

“A visit to a salon may be the only opportunity some people have to take time for themselves.  We didn’t want to create a salon that felt like another errand to be scheduled into their busy lives.  So we began asking clients for their vision of a perfect salon experience,” said Jasken.  “They challenged us to create a salon that combined the services of an upscale Newbury Street salon, the comfortable feel of a New York City loft, and the pampering of a resort spa.  We think Sanctuary meets this challenge.”

“The salon is unique because our entire approach to its creation is unique”, stated Addi.  “We worked with clients in planning every aspect of Sanctuary’s operation.  They described the ideal experience, outlining everything from making appointments, to being welcomed in reception, to receiving the desired service and finally checking out and booking other appointments.”

“We knew that the best way to stay true to our vision was to keep clients actively involved in its implementation.  Our clients became investors in Sanctuary.  They worked with us to find its location as we turned to them when hiring architects, contractors, and interior decorators.  Clients volunteered to help us paint, tile and finish the interior work. Clients across the region even helped us locate lighting fixtures and furnishings, Addi continued.”

“Sanctuary is a true testament to the power of networking,” added Jasken. “Our clients recommended who they thought were the best hair stylists, aestheticians, and manicurists in the area.  We have recruited those individuals in building the Sanctuary family and made the promise that they, too, will share our success and prosperity.”

Sanctuary is now a 6,000 sq ft salon that has a home in a refurbished old mill on a quiet side street. Through its dozens of floor-to-ceiling windows, all service areas carefully designed along the exterior walls overlook a panoramic view of gardens and beautiful landscape.  This just adds to the entire Sanctuary experience that carries the slogan “May you always walk this earth with good thoughts”.

Sanctuary offers a full range of traditional salon services, including hair styling, cutting, conditioning, and coloring, as well as nail care and pedicures.  Spa services include skin care and hair removal as well as massage therapy and tanning. Hours are:
